Individual Therapy
If you're feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in frustrating relationship patterns, or burned out from the demands of work, you don't have to navigate it alone. Individual therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental space to slow down, make sense of what you're going through, and start feeling more like yourself again.
My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) frameworks, both evidence-informed treatment modalities. Using these proven approaches, we'll work together to understand your thoughts and emotions, build practical coping tools, and help you reconnect with what matters most to you.
The goal isn't just relief - it's helping you feel more grounded, confident, and able to create meaningful, lasting change to move toward a more fulfilling life.
Individual Therapy FAQ
What should I expect in my first therapy session?
Our initial session is a time for us to get to know each other. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals for our work together, and any questions you have about the process. It's a collaborative space to ensure we are a good fit and to begin building a foundation of trust.
What is the duration of therapy?
The length of our work depends on your unique path. While some reach significant breakthroughs in a few months, others choose long-term support for major transitions. We consistently evaluate our progress to ensure our time together remains meaningful and effective for your growth.
How long are sessions and what is the frequency?
Each session lasts for 50 minutes. I typically recommend weekly appointments at first to build strong momentum and consistency. We can adapt this frequency later as your needs change, ensuring the process remains helpful and manageable for your schedule.

Are sessions held in-person or virtually?
I provide all therapy sessions through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video system. This online format allows for a private and flexible environment for our work, making care accessible regardless of your schedule. Currently, I only see residents located within South Carolina for therapy.
Is support available for couples or families?
I currently offer couples therapy, but I do not provide family therapy services at this time. If I am your individual therapist, I cannot also be your couples therapist but I can provide excellent resources or referrals if that situation arises.
What are your costs and do you accept insurance?
I am an out-of-network provider. While I do not accept insurance directly, I can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement for therapy. I recommend contacting your provider to verify your out-of-network benefits. Current rates are $300 per session.
How is my privacy protected in therapy?
Confidentiality is the cornerstone of the therapeutic relationship, creating a space unlike any other in your life. I follow the highest ethical and professional standards to protect your privacy, with few specific legal exceptions that we will discuss in detail during our first meeting. Protecting this safe space for you is a priority in our work together.
